Levittown

Levittown is a short drive over the bridge from our shop, and we know the houses well. Six original models built at speed in the early 1950s, most of them since expanded at least once, and not always by someone who pulled a permit.

That history is the first thing we look at. Before we price an addition or a dormer, we check what previous work actually did to the structure, because a lot of what was added here over seventy years is carrying load it was never framed for.

From there it is ordinary good building: proper footings, headers sized correctly, ventilation balanced when we replace the roof, and every step inspected by the township. Free written estimates throughout lower Bucks.
